In response to the rising costs of food, gas, and even money faced by millions of the working class in the U.S., Craig Swartz, Democratic Nominee for Ohio’s 5th Congressional District is unveiling his All-American Tax Act that will make the first $36,000 of earned income of every American, income tax-free. According to Swartz; “This is the first tax act that will benefit every working American, regardless of income level, and put immediate cash back into everyone’s pocketbook, but its primary aim is to help our working-class heroes who are suffering the most right now with high food and gas prices and could use a real boost to their income.”

It is expected that the All-American Tax Act would return over $300 a month to every working American's pocketbook and bring immediate relief when it’s needed most. Paying for the All-American Tax Act would come from making sure corporations and the 1%, who manage to avoid paying any income taxes at all, pay their fair share.

For the last thirty years, Congress has allowed so many corporate mergers to take place with no oversight resulting in reduced competition and monopoly price-fixing, especially in the food and energy sectors, that have created the high inflation Americans are suffering right now.

Swartz said that the All-American Tax Act is to be permanent and will be real tax relief for all working Americans.

Swartz went on to say, “Ordinary Americans are feeling angry, desperate, and helpless right now as a result of corporate greed that has put our Country on the brink of recession and Americans’ livelihoods at risk and all due to keeping high profits for corporate executives and their shareholders.”
